Itīs finally Christmas!
That magical time of the year to make a balance and weight in what was acchieved or lost and whether you were naughty or nice.
Nobodyīs completelly naughty or nice, so I guess, like most regular people, I must fall somewhere inbetween, deserving of some presents but also some spanking.
Iīve already had my presents this year.
As much as I have enjoyed (and always will look back fondly to) the world of freelance illustrating throughout all these years, 2004 was the year in which Iīve finally fully embraced the path of the comicbook creation.
Working on all these wonderfull titles was a joy for me and I can only look forward to tomorrow when I can continue to help bring to life all these amazing characters and their stories.
For that I must thank all the incredible people I had the oportunity to work with.
You gave me the best Christmas present I could dream of.
As for spanking, 2004 had quite its share, especially on a personal level where I lost someone.
Among the gigs who went up in smoke, I also had the oportunity to see several projects I helped bring to life with great effort crash and burn.
Live and learn......
Altogether, I think itīs safe to say that it WAS a good year.
Good things happened and many-many wonderful people presented me with the joy of being welcomed into their world.
The dreams that came true somewhat outweight the nightmares that were brought to life.
Itīs a strange sensation.
In all honesty I donīt think I ever had a good year before.
EVER.
Maybe being an artist doesnīt suck entirelly after all.......
